Our Wedding

Debashrita grew up in Odisha, India, with roots grounded in family and tradition. Her journey took her through the UK and Belgium, shaping her curiosity and love for learning. An economist who believes life is best enjoyed beyond deadlines (and the occasional bad joke). Loves painting, cooking, wandering through cafés, and chasing sunsets. Patient, loyal, and always curious about the world. Known for her shiny hair, warm laughter, and a whole lot of heart. Arunendra grew up in Bonhoogly, Kolkata, deeply rooted in Indian family values and proudly connected to his Bengali heritage. His academic journey took him to Texas and Maryland, shaping his worldview while keeping his heart firmly grounded in tradition. Known for his warm, cheerful, and sociable personality, Arun loves painting, camping, and spending time outdoors. He once dreamed of becoming a painter in France, and today enjoys exploring his creative side through art and experimenting bravely in the kitchen. A true pukka Indian at heart, he carries his culture and values with pride wherever he goes. Deba and Arun are united in their shared love for family, travel, tradition, coffee, and a wonderful (sometimes questionable) sense of humor and are excited to begin this new chapter together.

Nestled in the Pioneer Valley, Amherst is a classic New England college town surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. March here marks the quiet turn from winter to spring—expect crisp air, early hints of green, and fewer crowds. Visitors often enjoy strolling through downtown, exploring the campus area, or taking in nearby nature at places like the Emily Dickinson Museum grounds or the trails around the Connecticut River Valley. Amherst has an outsized food scene for its size: cozy cafés, excellent bakeries, farm-to-table New American spots, and standout Asian and vegetarian options thanks to the local colleges. It’s a relaxed, thoughtful place—perfect for slowing down, eating well, and soaking in small-town charm while celebrating with us. The closest airport is Bradley International Airport near Hartford, CT. Amherst is a 1.5 hr drive from Boston.
